Non official results of stage 4 have been posted and we had another amazing day. Rody drove all day for two specials today winning the first one and placing 2nd in the 2nd one, we are 4th overall and 1st in class.
After starting in 6th place, Rody was the 4th car finishing today’s first special stage, in Insurgentes Nico and Amaya stopped to gas and change the rear tires because they were about to face a rough 2nd special stage.
The team lost some time doing that in Insurgentes (just 17 miles north from Ciudad Constitucion) and started 9th for the 2nd stage, they again problems with the oil cooling system, so they were not able to race over 105 miles per hour.
We are currently 1st in class with a gap of 46 minutes over the 2nd place.
We are 4th place overall after two good stages. If you saw the car going by, you could notice that the header pipes broke again today after a quick repair in Loretto, the noise was a bit annoying and it seems like something was terribly wrong, but it was just the exhaust. In La Paz we are getting them fixed properly.
Matt will close the Rally driving from La Paz to the finish line in San Jose del Cabo, the city where he has lived during winters for over 3 decades and where the team´s head quarter is located.
We are very thankful with all our fans around Loreto and La Paz, cheering us on and sending good vibes to the team.
